When a white supremacist hate group overthrows American democracy, the oppressed are faced with a desperate choice: stay and submit to the new authoritarian regime, or risk everything and flee. Living in fear for their lives, Zabi and her friends risk everything to make their way into the safety of Canada. As supplies dwindle and the situation becomes more desperate, Zabi comes to an uncomfortable realisation--what if her best chance of survival is to make friends with the enemy?
