The self-appointed oracle of Thurlbury, a picturesque fishing village, Maggie Cole (Dawn French) makes it her business to know a little bit about everyone's lives. But when a radio journalist interviews Maggie for a piece about local life, she gives him far more detail than he was counting on and soon discovers her gossip-fest is going to land her in serious hot water.
