Following The Jerk, Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid and The Man With The Two Brains, uproarious body swap comedy marked the last time that "wild and crazy guy" Steve Martin and legendary director Carl Reiner would work together. Martin is Roger Cobb, a jazz guitar obsessed attorney. Lily Tomlin is Edwina Cutwater, a wilfully eccentric millionaire who has discovered that she is dying. She turns to a mystic who claims he can transfer human souls, but it doesn't go to plan, and she finds herself in her attorney's body, with Roger still in there too.
