Meet the Pandas (Animal Planet) (DVD)

Animal Planet presents the journey and the behind-the-scenes preparations involved in bringing two Giant Pandas from China to the United States. We introduce the people involved - the vets, the keepers, the scientists. We review the historical moment when Giant Pandas were presented to President Nixon as a gift from the Chinese goverment. We look at their place in pop culture and look at their role as the symbol of endangered species.
